Blogging 101

Blogging 101 is mostly about the blogging vocabulary. To understand blogs, you need to know the terms blog, platform, domain, and web host.

Once you have mastered these key elements of blogging, you can enter any conversation about blogging with confidence. After you know what exactly a blog is, you will be on your way to passing the final exam of blogging 101 :).

Blog is short for weblog, which simply means a series of online posts presented in reverse chronological order. That’s all!

Most blogs are text, but there are also photo blogs and video blogs. The rest of blogging 101 has to do with the technical side of things. If you are setting up a blog, you will need a platform, a web host, and a domain. A blogging platform is a computer software program that allows you to write posts and to update your blog.

Your platform is also what you use to design the look of your blog, from color scheme to font size. The web host is sort of like the virtual file cabinet where your blog is stored. Your computer communicates with the host when you upload or edit a post. The domain is the online address of your blog, and usually ends in “dot com”.

Now that you know what a blog is, what a platform is, and what domains and hosts are, congratulate yourself!
You have passed blogging 101. Now let’s look at the basics of blogging!

Basics of Blogging

Blogging is a way for people to express how they feel on the internet but it can also be a great way to make money. Though you may not see it as a way to make money, it is still something that you can do as a fun hobby.

Here are some of the blogging basics and how you can get started with your blog.

Find A Niche

Before you make a blog, you will need to know what your niche is. A niche is basically what your blog is going to be about and it is important that you choose a niche that will get some traffic. You have to find a niche that is not too saturated but also not too unknown.

Choosing a niche like baseball can be very common but it is a better idea to try and get specific by choosing an actual baseball team. You will need to find a niche that you can constantly write about and something that you truly have a passion for. The video below explains a little what a niche is. I did the video while I was running a course on how to create high ticket online courses.

choose a niche in area you are passionate about! Click To Tweet

Stay Consistent

Choose a day of the week where you will release your next post so that you will be able to let your readers know when to expect a new post. You will need to stay consistent because you will most likely not have readers to begin with but you will need to remember that they will come. Do not base your success off of comments and views and base it off of how consistent you are. If you are not able to choose a specific day for your posts, always endeavour to post at least once or twice a week.

If you are able to get these blogging basics down, then you will be able to start blogging. Starting and running a blog is really not that tough and as long as you choose a niche that you have a passion for, you will never get sick of making blog posts.

If you want to become an authority blogger and learn how to monetise it, simply click here! Everything you need to know about blogging and making money from it can be found on the course.

Until Next Time….Keep Smiling xx!

Providing Value

Providing Value

We are still on the matter on how you can stand out from the noisy crowd so that you can be heard. If you missed the other series, don’t fret as you can get the full report by clicking here.

OK…let’s delve into today’s topic…..

Now you have your niche and your topics, you should also have your audience. The next thing you need to do is to start providing value.

Whether you’re on Facebook or Twitter or you’re just running a blog, value is what’s going to ensure that people keep coming back to your site and that they keep reading.

Whether you’re on Facebook or Twitter or you’re just running a blog, value is what’s going to ensure that people keep coming back to your site and that they keep reading. Click To Tweet

A lot of small, stuffy businesses, approach social media as a podium from which they can promote their products and services and generally pat their own backs:

“We have a small but highly capable team!”

“Our new service is second to none, why not see for yourself?”

This kind of random marketing talk is completely useless however because it doesn’t give the audience any reason to stick around and keep reading. If you were following a Facebook page and all it ever posted was messages about its own products, what would you do?

Most likely you would unfollow it.

So instead, you need to think of your social media efforts as a service. This is a free service that you provide to your audience as a taster of your expertise and to build that trust and gain that attention.

Your service might be to provide the latest industry news. Or maybe it’s to inspire them with ideas and quotes? Maybe you want to offer entertainment with funny videos and joke articles?

Either way, find a way that you can offer a service that will appeal to your particular niche and what you’re doing.

If you have a health insurance company, then why not post health tips? If you make software for small businesses, then how about featuring small successful companies that others can be inspired by?

Even if your subject matter is dull/dry, there are ways you can make it interesting and thereby inspire your audience and get them to keep reading.

Ask yourself this: if your social account went down tomorrow, would anyone be sad about it? If the answer is no, then you’re not doing it right!

Only then will you occasionally post promotional content which will be much more successful now you have your audience listening. And when you do, you need to make sure you’re still providing value by offering exclusive content and unique information.

And make sure that you are consistent and that you are frequent.

The same is true for your blog. If you provide value on your blog with deep, fascinating and in-depth posts – then people will share it for you! Think of each article you post as a little product in itself and that means it should have its own design period, gestation phase and even marketing campaign surrounding it and helping you to launch it! If you do not have a blog yet, now is the time to get one.

You can learn how to launch your own authority blog and start providing value to people.

There’s So Much More!

Hopefully now you’re starting to see how you can get heard in a noisy world. Hopefully you recognise the difference between spamming the web with promotional content and having a brand that’s interesting and unique and that you really care about.

If you are doing something genuinely worthwhile and something that you’re truly passionate about, then you cannot only be seen – but also build a loyal army of followers and fans who can help you ensure that you go from strength to strength.

But there’s so much more to it than what we’ve been able to cover here. In the full book we discuss many more topics relating to your online success, including how you go about writing titles that people can’t help but click, what it is that makes people want to share content, and how to use tools and plugins to ensure that your social channels stay active and are much more likely to spread virally.

With the best strategies and the most powerful tools, you can blare your message out to the entire internet as though you had a giant foghorn. And then anything is possible!

Until Next Time!……Keep Smiling xx.

Profiling Your Audience

By PrincessChidimma | Branding , Online Business , Social Media

Profiling Your Audience

On the last issue on how to stand out from the noisy crowd, we talked about “creating a brand you care about”. If you haven’t read it, please click here to read it.

To stand out from the noisy crowd, after creating a brand you care about,The next step in creating your brand and your business model is to consider your audience. And if you want to get in-depth with this, you can even profile your audience as though they were sitting in front of you.

Try and learn and estimate as much about these people as you possibly can based on what you already know.

What is the average age of your typical reader? What is their disposable income like? What other interests do they have? Where do they hang out?

What drives them and what do they want out of life? Where can you find them?

Doing this little bit of research at the start can help you a great deal with the creation of your brand and the content you share but will be instrumental when it comes to designing your marketing campaign.

Firstly, knowing where your audience is likely to be found is one of the best ways to ensure your marketing is on-point. If you are a small business, then there’s a limit to how much marketing you can do which means you need to ensure you are efficient and accurate with it.

If your audience is very old, then they are unlikely to spend much time on ‘young’ social media platforms like Snapchat or WhatsApp. But if they are young? Then this is the perfect place to find them and to market to them!

Then again, you also need to think about what drives your audience and who they are. The reason this is so important is because it’s going to impact greatly on the type of marketing you use. This relates to a concept called your ‘value proposition’ and more broadly to the kind of message and lifestyle you’ll be promoting.

Because when we read websites about fitness, we don’t read them because we’re interested in biology (as a whole). Rather, we read them because we want to feel more confident, more energetic and more attractive. It’s the lifestyle and the emotional hook that drives us – its aspirational and vicarious.

On the other hand, people who read blogs about making money are likely to be unhappy in their current jobs. Maybe they’re driven by conventional concepts of ‘success’ and ‘achievement’. They want to be standing in a high rise skyscraper somewhere wearing a suite and knowing that their pay-check is huge.

Knowing what it is that drives your audience will make it much easier to inspire them and to get behind your brand as a movement rather than just a

What is it you want to help other people achieve? What is it that your audience dreams of and how can you tap into that?

I will love to read your thoughts….leave them on the comment box.

Until Next Time…..Keep Smiling xx.

How to Sell a Dream and Understanding the Value Proposition

By PrincessChidimma | Making Money Online

How to Sell a Dream and Understanding the Value Proposition

If you are going to be charging a large amount of money for a big ticket item, then you need to make sure that what you are selling is really worth that amount of money. What’s more, you need to ensure that your potential buyers believe that it is worth that amount of money.
And this means that what you are selling essentially needs to change lives.
That sounds like a tall order but it is something you can do and you just need to know how.
Look at it this way…. No one is likely to spend $2,000 on an ebook or about fishing, about football or about how to tidy their home. This is the kind of thing that they might be happy to spend $50 on at most, but it just isn’t worth more than that.
On the other hand though, selling something that promises to make a person rich, that can help them to find love, or that can help them get the body of a god or goddess, that is something they will happily spend $2,000 on.
What is the Difference?
The strange thing to understand here is that the product can be the exact same. It can have the same number of words, the same number of hours but it is the topic that allows you to charge that much more.
What this is really all about is what is known as the “value proposition” and understanding this is the key to selling big ticket. What a value proposition basically is, is a promise to your audience. This is how you are going to change their lives and it is what your book can do to make things easier and happier for them.

What a value proposition basically is, is a promise to your audience. Click To Tweet In the case of your make-money ebook that value proposition is that you can make them rich and thereby remove all of their money stresses. On the other hand, if your book is about dating, then the value proposition is that you can help them to find happiness/romance/sex.
From here, you now need to focus on that value proposition in all your marketing and to really work on the emotional drive that will hopefully help you to make sales. Talk about how sad it is to feel alone on Valentine’s Day, or how hard it is looking in the mirror and not liking your body.
Then get them to imagine what it would be like to be in a loving relationship or to have an amazing body. Essentially you are selling a dream and dreams are priceless!

Lesson Six – Breaking It All Down

By PrincessChidimma |

Now you’ve got your strategy in place, and have some idea as to how long your course should be, it’s time to start dividing your course up into lessons, and preparing the materials.

As a general rule, lessons should be roughly the same length. You can either: Work out how long the course will be in its entirety and divide it by the number of lessons you want to teach. The resulting figure will be how long each lesson should be. Alternatively, you can do it the other way around: Set a time for each lesson, and divide that into the total time allotted.

If you’re delivering your course as a video course, then it’s better to use the second method, as factors like bandwidth and attention span come into play. If you’re hosting your course online via a third party provider, then it’s best to get guidance from them on this subject as they may have set standards that they expect you to follow.

The same applies if you’re going to be delivering your course personally via conference calls or webinars. There may be some time restrictions here, too, plus you don’t want to drone on too long as peoples’ attention will start to wander after a while.

If your course is written on a workbook or you’re including written materials alongside video or audio content, again the lessons or chapters should be of similar length. Most word processing systems can tell you the word count either in total or per section.

Use the outline we talked about the day before yesterday as the basis for your course, and modify it as much as necessary. This will serve as the blueprint for your course, and everything else will lead off of that.

In this short course, I’ve only been able to scratch the surface of the process necessary to create a high ticket course. I go into a lot more detail (about courses and other high-ticket products) in the High Ticket Authority course. There are still seats left, but they’re going fast! Grab your seat RIGHT NOW and enter the lucrative world of high ticket product creation. You can get access to it here.

To your success!

PS. There is another high-ticket product that can potentially generate revenue for months (or years) after you’ve set it up. I explain all about it in the guide. Here’s the link again [You can get access to it here. ]

Creating a Brand You Care About

By PrincessChidimma | Branding , Social Media

Creating a Brand You Care About

On the last issue, we asked the question…..How do you stand out from a noisy world? Creating a Brand you care about is one of the ways you can reach your audience and get them to care.

This might sound like a bleak situation – with thousand of people all vying for a very finite amount of attention – but the reality is a bit better than that.

The advantage you have is the fact that most of these voices are going about being heard in the wrong way. They blend into the background because they are all the same and they are all dross. YOU can be different and that’s how you stand out.

YOU can be different and that’s how you stand out. Click To Tweet

Think of all those voices on the web like a flock of sheep. You glance at the flock and you can’t make out any of the individuals therein – except one. And that one is the black sheep, because he’s different! And that’s what you need to be.

The first thing you need to do is to create a brand that you care about and that you really have your faith in. This is where a lot of people go wrong right from the start.

create a brand that you care about and that you really have your faith in. Click To Tweet

How many people do you think start up websites planning on selling fitness ebooks who actually have no real interest in fitness?

How many people are trying to make money selling marketing ebooks and ‘make money’ schemes? Do you think they really believe in that product? Do you think that they are passionate about it?

The result is a half-hearted message that comes across the same as every other person trying to sell those things.

Instead, you need to think about what it is that makes you unique. What is it that you can offer that no one else can offer? How can you be different and interesting and what are you passionate about?

What is it that you can offer that no one else can offer? Click To Tweet

In doing this, you will also be selecting a niche for yourself that is unique and different and that means you won’t be competing head-on with quite so much noise. Once you decide that your passion is for making computer games, you are now competing with maybe 5 other big websites rather than 100,000 websites in the fitness niche.

And it’s much easier to get to the top of that subject matter as a result. There are still enough people here to sell to and because you’re more passionate about the topic, you will find you’re much better at coming up with content and actually selling the stuff you are interested in.

How do you stand out in a noisy world? Simple – you go where it’s a bit quieter!

How do you stand out in a noisy world? Simple – you go where it’s a bit quieter! Click To Tweet

Then again though, you might decide you want to have a blog about fitness or making money online afterall. Maybe that is what you are passionate about? Maybe you just want to be the biggest you can be?

That’s fine too. The only caveat is that you now need to find a smaller section of that market and you need to find a new way to differentiate yourself.

There are plenty of examples of brands online that have done this well. One of my absolute favorite examples is ‘Nerd Fitness’.

Nerd Fitness is a website that’s all about fitness but it is catered specifically to people who class themselves as ‘nerds’. This is perfect because it has found a smaller niche within a bigger niche and created lots of direct routes to market – Nerd Fitness can market on bodybuilding forums but just as easily market on comics forums!

Nerd Fitness is a unique topic that introduces lots of unique ideas for blogs and posts and this ensures everything it does is fresh. The images used around the site are unique too – they are Lego characters that have been set up and photographed!

Nerd Fitness has gone on to enjoy a lot of success and that’s because there’s nothing else like it out there.

That’s how you need to be!

How Do You Stand Out In The Noisy Crowd?

By PrincessChidimma | Branding , Social Media

How Do You Stand Out In The Noisy Crowd?

The web has created a world of opportunity for us all. More than ever before, it’s now possible for anyone to come up with an idea for a business and to start promoting themselves to a massive audience.

That means you can start making money from the comfort of your own home. Or maybe you’d rather just promote a cause that’s important to you? Or make a little money on the side writing about something you find fascinating?

With the world as your audience, the opportunities are nearly endless and you can achieve all kinds of incredible things.

But there’s only one problem… So can everyone else!

And this can make it very hard to stand out on the web. You don’t need me to tell you that of course, you’ve probably noticed it yourself. If you head online right now and spend five minutes there, you’ll probably be bombarded by countless ads in that time, several emails that you never signed up for and all kinds of other junk. Every website is covered in flashing banners trying to get attention and Tai Lopez keeps showing you his Ferrari.

That sounds like chaos but in all honesty, it’s not much different from walking down the street. Head to any city and there are approximately 20 adverts visible at any time as well as plenty of store windows – some of which with TVs playing more adverts.

The result is that we become a bit desensitised to any and all attempts to get our attention. Beeping, flashing lights, news flashes – we’re oblivious.

So the question is: how do you be one of the few voices that manages to stand out in such a noisy world? How do you reach your audience and get them to care?

How to Build Trust and Authority

By PrincessChidimma | Uncategorized

How to Build Trust and Authority

Take a look at some of the best big ticket items being sold by internet marketers and you will notice that the price can vary greatly. You can spend several thousand dollars for a weekend with someone like Tony Robins, or you can spend less than that for a whole week workshop.
A consultation with one blogger might cost you $99 for one hour but a short lunch with Elliot Hulse will set you back £1K!

Clearly time isn’t the only factor that matters – so what is it that is really determining the pricing of these products?

The answer is simple: it’s the individual who is providing the information. If you are someone who has a ton of experience and qualifications, then you can charge a huge amount of money for your services. Conversely though, if you’re someone that no one has heard of and you have no qualifications under your belt, then you’ll have to charge a lot less.

This should be interesting for anyone looking to make a lot of money as it basically means that all you have to do to start charging big bucks, is to convince people that you know what you are talking about and that you’re worth those big bucks. So how do you do that?

One way you can start charging a lot more money is to promote yourself and to become better known within your niche. Elliot Hulse is hardly a household name but he is well-known among fitness enthusiasts due to his appearance on YouTube.
Likewise, Tony Robbins is a household name and he can charge huge amounts as a result.

To get yourself to something approaching this level, you can run your own YouTube channel/blog for instance and you should also consider appearing in interviews.
Make sure that you really believe in your own hype. Present yourself as someone who is worth $1,000 an hour and people will be more likely to believe it.

Plumb Your CV

You can almost think of your sales page as being like a CV. The objective for you here is to show off your qualifications, experience and anything else that might make you seem credible. Think about the highlights of your career and anything people will know about.

Think of numbers (did you increase your company’s profit by X amount?) and think about claims to fame – many people talk about their appearances on TED for instance. You might also want to put down qualifications.

Finally, consider linking yourself to other successful people. Tai Lopez’s sales page includes an image of people like Arnie, Steve Jobs and Einstein. He had nothing to do with their success but the unconscious link is clear!

Until Next Time……Keep Smiling!

How to Write Sales Text That Works for a Landing Page

By PrincessChidimma | Internet Marketing , Online Business

How to Write Sales Text That Works for a Landing Page

If you are planning on selling a big ticket item, then chances are that your entire income model is dependent on those sales. A big ticket item can sell for anything from $99 up to $2,000 or even $20,000. For most of us, that means enough money to live off for the following week, month or even year!
The bottom line? You need to do everything you can to make these big ticket items sell and one of the very best ways to do that is by creating a landing page and adding the right type of persuasive text to encourage sales. This is one page that is entirely dedicated to making a sale and that has no other function.

A big ticket item can sell for anything from $99 up to $2,000 or even $20,000. Find out how! Click To Tweet

Here’s how you go about wording it:
Narrative Structure
The first tip is to consider using a narrative structure. You want to position yourself as a figure of authority, so don’t make your narrative one about how you used to be broke/fat (this is a good option for cheaper products). Rather, just talk about your experiences and how you came up with this great idea for a course. That way, your writing will be much more compelling and engaging and people will want to keep reading.
The Value Proposition
During your text, always focus a lot on your value proposition. A value proposition is essentially the thing that you are offering your readers/customers. If you are selling an ebook, then the value proposition is not the text that makes up the ebook and it is not the PDF file that you are saving the ebook as. Rather, it is what that ebook can do for your customers and how it can change their lives. Focus on this and really try to understand the emotional appeal of what you are selling.
AIDA is a popular structure used in many sales pitches. The idea is to acknowledge that the buyer has never heard of you or your product before and to take them from being understandably dubious to a keen buyer. It stands for “Awareness, Interest, Desire, Action”.
Social Proof and Community
Finally, never underestimate the power of social proof, social influence or community. People love to feel that they are a part of something and that they are part of a movement. They also often look to others for cues that will guide their own behavior.
Make sure that your product is the exciting and exclusive offer that all the most in-the-know people are talking about.

The solution to cutting the learning curve when it comes to creating high-priced products, is to enrol on the fact-filled High Ticket Authority course which includes e-book, 10 videos, checklist, cheat sheet and a mind map. Get access to it now. You can get access to it here.

Until Next Time….Keep Smiling!
